In partnership with Eversource and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), Local Unions 104 and 1837, the MCC Electrical Lineworker certificate program prepares students to work in the electrical-power-utility industry or to transfer credits to the MCC Electrical Technology or Technical Studies degree programs. A key component of this program is an internship with IBEW.
The Electrical Lineworker program is a selective program that requires all students to first attend a specific information session during an MCC Open House. To learn more about upcoming Electrical Lineworker Sessions, go online to mccnh.edu/admissions/information-sessions/.
Electrical Lineworker Certificate Options
The Electrical Lineworker Certificate program is designed to allow you to enter the skilled workforce quickly with the targeted electrical training required to become a Utility Lineworker. Because the training is skilled and targeted, no other training is needed.
Other Electrical Technology Training Options
The mission of MCC’s Electrical Technology program is to provide you with the foundation to become a Utility Lineworker, Electrical Technician, Electrical Apprentice or Utility Substation Electrician.
In addition to the Electrical Lineworker certficate program, MCC’s Electrical Technology program offers a general Electrical Technology certificate and three Electrical Technology Associate of Applied Scienc (AAS) degree pathways, allowing you to accomplish specific career goals like becoming an Electrical Technician, an Electrical Substation employee, or preparing you to take the exam for State Licensure.
