BIOL130M: Marine Biology

This course is designed as an extension to topics covered in biology, with special emphasis on life in the oceans. Topics to be covered will include oceanography, marine ecology, anatomy and physiology of marine life, and environmental issues affecting marine life. Students are expected to demonstrate proper scientific data collection skills, as well as effective formal and informal communication of processes and concepts. (Fulfills Lab Science elective) Prerequisites: High School Biology with a “C” or better and placement into ENGL110M or permission of the instructor.
